High View of God and His Word
God’s Word will be the standard by which all worship and ministry is expressed, with the
focal point of knowing God as He has revealed Himself in scripture.
High View of the Power of the Gospel
The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the power of God for salvation to everyone who
believes, and to that effect we acknowledge that the gospel is at the very heart of
Christianity. This means that we recognize the fact that all of us have sinfully rebelled
against the Creator, Governor, and Sustainer of the universe, and He rightfully stands over
us as Righteous Judge. However, He has lovingly sent His only Son to die the death that
we deserve for our sins, and He has attributed Jesus’ exoneration to those who repent of
their sins, whole-heartedly rely on His redemptive work, and live according to the death
and resurrection of Christ. This gospel is a call to self-denial and not self-esteem, this
gospel calls us all to daily conform to the image of God’s own Son until His glorious return.
High View of Family
Our approach to church life is expressed as a family integrated church, where we do not
separate families into various “age specific ministries” but minister to the whole body
with the understanding that all ages contribute to equipping one another and glorifying
God corporately.
High View of Membership
As the name of the church reflects, membership is covenant between Gods redeemed
community by way of a local family expression. This is a commitment and loyalty to a
specific body of believers as a unified witness of what it means to be a Christian to the
unredeemed world.
Members of Covenant Community understand that they are coming to serve other
members rather than to be served and this is expressed by loving attention to each others
walk with the Lord for the sake of maturity.
